In journalism — perhaps more so than in any other field — you learn by doing. We can teach you the the fundamental skills in class, but it is only by practicing those skills regularly that you will truly “own” what you have learned.
With that in mind, you are strongly encouraged to pitch your work for publication and to seek reporting internships. I will occasionally post opportunities to this page, but you can always check the Internship and Opportunities page on the Meek School website. For information about getting class credit for your internship, consult the Guidelines and fill out the necessary form at the beginning of the term for which you are seeking credit.
Currently, HottyToddy.com is seeking student interns. You can read about the internship requirements here.
